UK JOURNALS
Open Access, Copyright & Author Rights Policy

UK Journals is committed to the open and unrestricted dissemination of scholarly research. All articles published in journals operating under the UK Journals platform are made freely and permanently available online immediately after publication, without subscription charges or access barriers.

UK Journals follows an immediate open-access publishing model. Readers may access, read, download, copy, share, print, search, and link to the full text of published articles without requiring registration or payment. No embargo period is applied to published content.

Open-Access Licence

Unless otherwise stated, articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0). Under this licence, users may:

• Read and download published articles.
• Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
• Share articles for academic, educational, and professional purposes.
• Adapt, transform, and build upon the published material.
• Use the content for commercial or non-commercial purposes.

Such use is permitted provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author or authors, the journal and publisher are acknowledged, a link to the licence is included, and any changes made to the original work are clearly indicated.

Copyright Ownership & Author Rights

Retention of Rights: Authors retain the copyright to their published work. Authors grant the relevant journal and UK Journals the right to publish, distribute, archive, and identify themselves as the original publisher. Authors are not required to transfer complete copyright ownership to the publisher.

Subject to the applicable licence, authors maintain the right to:

• Share their published articles on personal or professional websites.
• Deposit the published version in institutional or subject repositories.
• Use the article for teaching frameworks and academic presentations.
• Include the work in a thesis or doctoral dissertation.
• Reuse portions of the article in future scholarly work with proper citation.
• Share copies with students, colleagues, and research networks.

The original publication should always be properly acknowledged, preferably with its DOI or permanent article URL.

Repository and Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are fully permitted to deposit the submitted, accepted, or published version of their article in:

• Institutional repositories.
• Subject-specific digital repositories.
• Funder-designated open repositories.
• Personal or professional websites.
• Academic networking platforms.

There is no embargo period. Deposited versions should include complete citation details and a functional hyperlink to the officially published version on the platform.

Article Processing Charges

Open access does not necessarily mean that publication is free of cost. Any applicable article processing charge, waiver, or exemption will be clearly stated on the website of the selected journal before manuscript submission.

Payment of an article processing charge does not influence peer review, manuscript acceptance, or editorial decisions.

Reader & Integrity Controls

Readers may use and share published content in accordance with the CC BY 4.0 licence. Proper attribution must be provided, and the content must not be presented in a misleading way or attributed to individuals who did not create it.

Any third-party material not covered by the article’s open-access licence may require separate permission from its copyright owner.

Third-Party Assets & Permanent Availability
Third-Party Content Responsibilities: Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted figures, tables, photographs, datasets, or other third-party materials that are not covered by an open licence. Any restrictions relating to such material must be clearly stated in the article.
Permanent Availability Framework: UK Journals aims to preserve published content and maintain its long-term online accessibility. Published articles remain part of the scholarly record and may be preserved through appropriate digital archiving arrangements.
Commitment to Accessible Knowledge

Through its open-access policy, UK Journals seeks to increase the visibility, accessibility, use, and impact of scholarly research. The platform supports the principle that research should be available to researchers, students, professionals, policymakers, institutions, and the wider public without unnecessary financial or technical barriers.
