Peer Review Policy

The Journal of Environmental Sustainability and Climate Innovations follows a structured peer-review process to maintain the quality, originality, academic relevance, scientific accuracy, and integrity of published research.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability with respect to the journal’s aims and scope, academic standards, ethical requirements, and submission guidelines.

Manuscripts that meet the initial evaluation criteria are forwarded for peer review by qualified reviewers with appropriate expertise in the relevant environmental, climate, and sustainability fields. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript’s originality, research contribution, theoretical foundation, methodology, analytical approach, interpretation of empirical data, clarity of presentation, and overall scholarly value.

The journal follows a fair and objective review process in which reviewer feedback is used to support editorial decision-making and improve manuscript quality. Authors may be requested to revise their submissions based on reviewer and editorial recommendations before a final publication decision is made.

Peer Review Workflow Stages

Our review pipeline enforces rigorous quality controls at every stage of the editorial process:

1. Desk Evaluation & Screening

Initial screening for scope alignment, structural compliance, formatting, and similarity screening via advanced anti-plagiarism engines.

2. Double-Blind Peer Evaluation

Assignment to independent environmental scientists and subject-matter experts. Both author and reviewer identities remain completely anonymized throughout the process.

3. Revisions & Quality Enhancement

Authors revise manuscripts addressing constructive reviewer feedback, strengthening empirical analysis, methodology, scientific data, and environmental insights.

4. Editorial Decision

The final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of a manuscript is made by the editorial team based on reviewer comments and scholarly merit.

Reviewer Confidentiality & Ethical Standards

Reviewers are required to maintain strict confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts and must provide unbiased, constructive, and academically justified evaluations:

  • Treat all submitted manuscripts, datasets, and associated metadata as privileged confidential documents.
  • Provide objective, evidence-based, and constructive feedback on scientific validity, environmental methodology, and clean technology application.
  • Disclose any potential conflict of interest that may affect impartiality and decline review assignments where an objective assessment cannot be ensured.
  • Ensure unpublished manuscript information or experimental data is never used for personal or institutional advantage.
  • Adhere strictly to review deadlines to maintain continuous and timely scholarly communication.
