Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement

The Journal of Advanced Computing and Intelligent Technologies (JACIT) is committed to maintaining scientific integrity, editorial independence, and ethical responsibility throughout the scholarly publication process.

The journal’s publication ethics framework is informed by the principles and guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and recognized standards of responsible scholarly publishing. These principles support the originality, accuracy, transparency, and reliability of research in computer science, artificial intelligence, computational intelligence, and emerging technologies.

Core Stakeholder Responsibilities

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are responsible for submitting original, accurate, and scientifically valid research. Objectives, procedures, findings, and conclusions must be presented transparently without fabrication, falsification, or misleading representation.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors evaluate manuscripts fairly and independently according to scientific originality, technical validity, and ethical compliance, completely uninfluenced by commercial or external considerations.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Peer reviewers evaluate manuscripts objectively, confidentially, and within their technical expertise, providing evidence-based feedback and reporting suspected misconduct or ethical violations.

Authorship & Contributorship

Authorship must reflect substantial intellectual contributions. Guest, gift, and ghost authorship are strictly prohibited. Non-author contributors must be appropriately acknowledged.

Research Integrity, Misconduct & AI Policies

Plagiarism & Duplication The journal does not permit plagiarism, unattributed reproduction, duplicate submission, or self-plagiarism. Manuscripts undergo similarity screening and contextual editorial evaluation.
Data & Experimental Integrity Fabrication, falsification, and deceptive computational metrics are strictly prohibited. Synthetic or simulated datasets must be explicitly identified and never presented as genuine empirical observations.
Responsible AI Utilization AI systems cannot be listed as authors. Substantive use of generative AI in code development, analysis, or manuscript preparation must be fully disclosed. Authors remain fully accountable for AI-generated output.
Citation Integrity Citations must accurately reflect relevant scientific literature. Citation manipulation, artificial metric inflation, and unnecessary forced citations are strictly unacceptable.

Research Ethics, Reproducibility & Corrections

Studies involving human participants, user data, or sensitive datasets must comply with institutional review board (IRB) approvals and data privacy regulations. To maintain computational reproducibility, authors should disclose execution environments, hyperparameter configurations, source code, and dataset repositories where feasible.

Post-publication errors or misconduct allegations are investigated confidentially following COPE flowcharts, resulting in formal Corrections, Retractions, or Expressions of Concern as required.

Commitment to Integrity: The Journal of Advanced Computing and Intelligent Technologies seeks to safeguard the reliability of published research and contribute to the responsible advancement of computer science and intelligent technologies through independent peer review and strict ethical oversight.
