Types of Manuscripts

The International Journal of Emerging Digital Systems and Engineering welcomes original scholarly manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of digital technologies, computing systems, engineering methodologies, intelligent applications, and interdisciplinary technological research. Manuscripts should demonstrate scientific rigor, methodological clarity, technical relevance, and a meaningful contribution to existing knowledge.

The journal considers the following manuscript categories, subject to editorial assessment and peer review, as applicable.

1. Original Research Articles

Original Research Articles present previously unpublished research involving experimental investigations, computational modeling, system development, algorithm design, engineering analysis, or empirical evaluation. Manuscripts should clearly describe the research objectives, methodology, results, and significance of the findings.

2. Review Articles

Review Articles provide critical and comprehensive evaluations of published research in digital systems and engineering. These manuscripts should synthesize existing knowledge, examine technological developments, identify research limitations, and establish directions for future investigation.

3. Systematic Review Articles

Systematic Review Articles address clearly formulated research questions through structured and reproducible literature-search, screening, and synthesis procedures. Authors should describe their information sources, eligibility criteria, study-selection methods, and approaches to evidence evaluation.

4. Short Communications

Short Communications report concise but technically significant research findings, preliminary experimental results, innovative engineering methods, or emerging technological developments. Submissions should present sufficient methodological information and supporting evidence to establish their scholarly contribution.

5. Technical Notes

Technical Notes describe specific engineering techniques, computational procedures, system modifications, algorithmic improvements, measurement approaches, or practical technological solutions. Manuscripts should explain the technical contribution, implementation considerations, and relevant performance evidence.

6. Case Studies

Case Studies examine the implementation, evaluation, or application of digital technologies and engineering solutions in specific organizational, industrial, educational, or technological environments. Submissions should provide a clear methodological basis, contextual analysis, and transferable technical or scholarly insights.

7. Methodological Articles

Methodological Articles introduce or critically evaluate research methods, analytical frameworks, computational techniques, simulation procedures, testing protocols, or validation approaches relevant to digital systems and engineering research.

8. Conceptual and Theoretical Articles

Conceptual and Theoretical Articles develop original frameworks, models, or theoretical perspectives addressing emerging challenges in computing, digital infrastructure, intelligent systems, and engineering technologies. Arguments should be supported by relevant scholarly literature and coherent technical reasoning.

General Manuscript Requirements

All submitted manuscripts should satisfy the following requirements:

  • Originality: Submissions must constitute original scholarly work and appropriately acknowledge previously published research.

  • Scope: Manuscripts must demonstrate clear relevance to digital systems, emerging computing technologies, engineering research, or closely related interdisciplinary fields.

  • Methodological Transparency: Research procedures, analytical methods, technical specifications, and evaluation criteria should be described sufficiently to permit scholarly assessment.

  • Research Integrity: Authors must comply with applicable publication ethics, responsible authorship practices, and research-integrity requirements.

  • Reporting Quality: Conclusions must be supported by appropriate evidence, technical analysis, or clearly developed theoretical arguments.

  • Ethical Compliance: Research involving human participants, personal data, or other ethically sensitive materials must include appropriate ethical disclosures and approvals where required.

  • Submission Standards: Manuscripts must follow the journal's applicable author guidelines, formatting requirements, citation practices, and submission procedures.

Editorial Assessment

All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment for relevance to the journal's scope, scholarly contribution, technical quality, completeness, and compliance with applicable submission requirements. Manuscripts considered suitable for further evaluation proceed through the journal's established peer-review process.

The International Journal of Emerging Digital Systems and Engineering reserves the right to decline manuscripts that fall outside its academic scope, lack adequate methodological or technical justification, contain unsupported conclusions, or fail to meet applicable publication ethics and editorial standards.
